The project site is located in the coastal area of Yunlin County, Taiwan. The Taiwanese name this region “Feng Tou Shui Wei”, meaning in dialect the area is prone to strong sea wind force especially during monsoon and typhoon season and suffers from lack of freshwater for irrigation and thus creating the challenging living environment. Because the construction phase of solar power plant coincided with typhoon season, the project site was subject to many violent storms. Due to strong wind force, we reduce the resistance by elevating the north-facing solar modules, thus avoiding damage caused by the impact.
